2023 OECD/IOPS Global Forum on Private Pensions

"Entrenching Retirement Security in a Changing World"

 

The 2023 Global Forum on Private Pensions is organised jointly by the OECD, the International Organisation of Pension Supervisors (IOPS) and the Insurance and Pensions Commission (IPEC) of Zimbabwe. It will gather high-level officials from regulatory and supervisory authorities, leading experts from pension fund industry and research institutes from both OECD and IOPS Member countries and representatives from international organisations. Discussions will focus on:

  • Design and delivery of adequate DC pensions (1): Revised OECD Core Principles of Private Pension Regulation

  • Design and delivery of adequate DC pensions (2): A Roundtable on challenges and solutions in the African continent

  • Performance of African pension funds investment strategies: challenges, opportunities and key trends

  • Providing pensions for informal employment in developing countries: Challenges and opportunities for policy makers

  • Strengthening trustees' skills and capacities: market practice, governance and regulatory developments 

This event will be held back-to-back with the IOPS Committee Meetings and the IOPS Annual General Meeting on 17-18 October 2023.
