IOPS/PensionsEurope Seminar: Pension Developments in CEE Region

The IOPS/PensionsEurope (formerly EFRP) Seminar aimed to provide a dialogue between pension regulators and pensions industry bodies to address recent pension developments in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region.

The following high-level policy topics were in-depth discussed:

• public and private sector pension provisioning;
• role of intermediaries in pension systems and costs for providing pensions;
• guarantees within retirement saving plans;
• supervisory and pension fund views on DC risks, investment choice and defaults.

The seminar was targeted at senior officials from pension supervisory authorities and representatives of pension industry bodies.
