Election of Vice-President

Ms. Solange Berstein, Superintendent of Pension Fund Administrators of Chile and Vice-President of AIOS was approved as the Vice-President of IOPS at the Executive committee meeting held on 5 July 2006 in Gieneva, Switzerland.

Dr. Berstein was appointed as Superintendent of Pension Fund Administrators in Chile in 2006, having previously held the position of  Director of Research at the Superintendence of Pension Funds in Chile (SAFP). She also teaches public finance and industrial organization at the University of Chile and previously worked as a senior economist at the Central Bank of Chile.  Dr. Berstein received the M.A. degree from ILADES/Georgetown and the Ph.D. degree in economics from Boston University. At Boston University she worked with Laurence Kotlikoff in a research project in which a sophisticated financial planning software was used to investigate individual financial behavior.
