Principles of Private Pension Supervision

The Principles of Private Pensions Supervision were approved by the IOPS governing members at the Annual General Meeting held on 15 December 2006 following a period of public consultation. The Principles cover the areas of objectives, independence, adequacy of resources and powers, risk-orientation, proportionality and consistency, consultation and cooperation, confidentiality, transparency and governance.
