APEC Pensions and Annuities Markets Seminar, Singapore 8-9 November 2007

IOPS members were cordially invited to the APEC Pensions and Annuities Markets Seminar, which was held in Singapore on 8-9 November 2007.

The seminar considered the development of pensions and annuity savings markets in the Asia-Pacific region. The role of institutional investors in both intermediate savings and in encouraging the development of capital markets was broadly discussed, as well as the issues of governance, risk-based supervision and market development.

The meeting was aimed at senior policy makers and leading private sector market participants.
