construction has begun adjusting towards a sustainable level of activity and
the highly indebted household sector is curbing spending in response to both
tighter financial conditions and higher inflation, while external demand is
weakening as global financial turbulence worsens.

In a speech at the International Labour Organization in Geneva, Secretary-General Angel Gurría welcomed the outcome of the G-20 meeting and outlined OECD’s planned contribution to international cooperation on the economy.

Good mental health reflects the interaction between individuals and their environment, so factors such as biological and early childhood development, as well as social support and self-esteem are important.

Competition law and policy in the Czech Republic have converged on European practices. Since the OECD review of Czech competition policy in 2001, the country has joined the European Union, while the Czech Competition Act has been revised and now closely follows the substantive terms and enforcement methods of the European Commission.
